*****
The depth of the sadness
Can only be imagined.
But when you look into them
Melancholy over comes you.
Just looking into those
Big blue eyes of sorrow
Make you feel as if
You can not do anything.
You get a pain in your heart
As if it was ripped in two.
You don’t know what to say
You shouldn’t keep staring.
But her eyes drag you back
It is hard not to notice them.
The beauty brings you in.
To escape it, you leave her.
More unshed tears gather, then.
From loneliness that we bring
Just because we can’t bear to look
At those dark pools of depression.
It is our fault that her smile is gone
Yet we can do nothing about it
We can not bear being near her
Because she lowers our spirits
She is without hope
no one helps her
Therefore, she’s abandoned
Thinking of the better days
The better days that don’t exist.
